Pokémon GO is preparing to put Zorua in the spotlight for its next Community Day. Scopely Explore has confirmed that the Dark-type Pokémon will headline the event on Saturday, October 10, 2026, from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM local time. During this three-hour period, Zorua will appear much more frequently in the wild, giving Trainers additional opportunities to add strong specimens to their collection and hunt for its Shiny form.
Evolving Zorua into Zoroark during Community Day, or within four hours after the event ends, will reward players with a Zoroark that knows Sucker Punch as a Fast Attack. Several bonuses will also be active throughout the event. Trainers will receive three times the usual XP and twice the usual Candy for catching Pokémon. Players at level 31 or higher will also benefit from double the usual chance of obtaining Candy XL. Incense activated during Community Day will remain effective for three hours, while Lure Modules will last for one hour.
Unlike some previous Community Day events featuring multiple regional forms, October's celebration will focus exclusively on the original version of Zorua introduced in the Unova region. Hisuian Zorua will not be included. This decision could also make the event easier to understand because of Zorua's unusual appearance mechanic in Pokémon GO. Instead of appearing normally on the map, Zorua disguises itself as the Trainer's current Buddy Pokémon before revealing its true identity when caught.
The Community Day experience will continue beyond the main three-hour window. From 2:00 PM until 10:00 PM local time, Zorua will frequently appear around PokéStops equipped with active Lure Modules. These encounters will retain the same chances of producing Shiny Zorua and Pokémon with a Special Background as during the regular Community Day period. The extended availability should give players who cannot participate between 2:00 PM and 5:00 PM additional opportunities to take advantage of one of the major events of Pokémon GO's current Twilight Trails season.
