The Naruto franchise is preparing for a major expansion across gaming and other media. During the "NARUTO: What's Next?" panel held at New York Comic Con, it was confirmed that Naruto Mobile will finally receive a worldwide release. The title originally launched exclusively in Mainland China in 2016 and has remained unavailable internationally for around a decade. Additional information about the global version is expected to be shared during Jump Festa '27, scheduled for December 19 and 20, 2026.
The panel also provided a closer look at the upcoming Naruto Card Game, Bandai's new trading card game based on Masashi Kishimoto's popular universe. Studio Pierrot, the animation studio closely associated with the Naruto anime, produced a promotional trailer for the project. Players will have several opportunities to test the game ahead of launch, with initial demonstrations planned at selected card game stores from February 5 to February 19, 2027, followed by another session from February 19 to March 5. A larger demo campaign will then take place across additional stores between March 5 and March 31.
Naruto Card Game is scheduled for an official release in June 2027. At launch, three starter decks will be available, focusing respectively on Naruto Uzumaki, Sasuke Uchiha and Gaara. This will not be Bandai's first attempt at bringing the franchise into the trading card market. The company previously released Naruto Collectible Card Game in 2006, with the product line continuing until 2013.
Both titles are part of Project Rasengan, a long-term initiative designed to expand Naruto and Boruto through anime, manga, video games and other forms of entertainment. A roadmap covering 2027 through 2029 appears to include eight different projects. Among the first confirmed productions are a Naruto and Ninku crossover anime, the new trading card game, the international version of Naruto Mobile and a new Naruto manga from series creator Masashi Kishimoto. More announcements are therefore expected as the franchise enters its next major phase.
