Fans of Jujutsu Kaisen will have to wait a little longer before jumping into the series' upcoming multiplayer experience. Shueisha Games and poncle have confirmed that Jujutsu Kaisen Rumble: Survivaton will now launch in 2027, pushing the game beyond its previously announced 2026 release window. According to the development team, the additional production time is intended to ensure that the final experience reaches the expected level of quality. A second trailer has also been released, officially reflecting the new launch window.

Designed as a survivor royale action game, Jujutsu Kaisen Rumble: Survivaton will support between one and eight players and is being developed for Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC via Steam. More than 20 playable characters from the franchise are planned, each bringing familiar techniques, special abilities and Domain Expansions into battle. During matches, players will compete to defeat cursed spirits and accumulate points while adapting to randomized skills that can significantly alter each encounter.

The game will also introduce a "Rule Additions" system inspired by the Culling Game storyline, adding new conditions during matches and forcing players to adjust their strategies on the fly. This combination of competitive multiplayer action, unpredictable abilities and recognizable Jujutsu Kaisen mechanics is intended to give each session a different rhythm while remaining closely connected to the identity of Gege Akutami's universe.

Originally launched in Weekly Shonen Jump in March 2018, the Jujutsu Kaisen manga concluded in September 2024 after becoming one of Shueisha's major modern franchises. Its anime adaptation began in October 2020, followed by Jujutsu Kaisen 0, a second television season in 2023 and the third season's Culling Game storyline in 2026. With the game now scheduled for 2027, Shueisha Games and poncle are giving themselves additional time to turn the franchise's supernatural battles into a polished multiplayer experience.
