Ace Combat 8: Wings of Theve is preparing for takeoff, and Bandai Namco is raising the excitement with a new launch trailer packed with spectacular aerial combat. While the Standard Edition is scheduled to release on October 2 for PS5, Xbox Series X/S and PC, players who purchased the Deluxe Edition can enter the cockpit earlier through advanced access beginning today at 3 PM PST.

The latest footage focuses heavily on the intensity of the battlefield, following Rex and the members of Joker Flight as they engage enemy forces across several large-scale combat zones. Fighter jets race between incoming missiles, targets are eliminated at high speed, and massive military threats make an appearance throughout the trailer. The action is accompanied by an energetic soundtrack that reinforces the cinematic identity traditionally associated with the Ace Combat series.

Beyond its aerial confrontations, Wings of Theve also places considerable importance on storytelling. The campaign explores the escalating conflict between the Republic of Sotoa and Central Usea while developing the relationship between Rex and the other pilots fighting alongside him. Project Aces has already revealed several aspects of the game through an extended opening cinematic, campaign presentations and information about its online modes, including cooperative and competitive multiplayer content.
