Yu-Gi-Oh! is celebrating the legacy of its creator Kazuki Takahashi with a brand-new special animation produced for the upcoming “YU-GI-OH! ART WORKS” exhibition in Tokyo. Released through the franchise’s official channels, the video brings several familiar characters back to Domino City and includes an impressive appearance by the legendary Blue-Eyes White Dragon. The production was created by the committee behind the Yu-Gi-Oh! anime franchise as part of the celebrations surrounding the manga’s 30th anniversary.
The exhibition will open at Creative Museum Tokyo on December 12, 2026, and remain available until February 21, 2027. Dedicated to Takahashi’s artistic work, the event will offer fans an opportunity to explore original material connected to the creation and evolution of Yu-Gi-Oh!. It represents the first major exhibition centered on the late artist’s original artwork and highlights the visual identity that helped turn the series into a worldwide phenomenon.
Additional merchandise prepared for the event has also been revealed. Among the newly announced products are a mosaic art puzzle, an eco bag accompanied by a pouch inspired by the Millennium Puzzle, and Blue-Eyes White Dragon candy featuring Seto Kaiba on the packaging. Visitors will therefore find exclusive collectibles alongside the exhibition itself, expanding the event beyond its original artwork displays.
Yu-Gi-Oh! began as a manga serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump between 1996 and 2004 before developing into one of Japan’s most recognizable entertainment franchises, spanning trading cards, anime, games, toys and multiple manga projects. The exhibition will use timed admission throughout its run. On September 14, applications also opened for the ticket lottery covering December dates during the exhibition’s first period.
