Saga of Tanya the Evil is preparing to celebrate a major milestone with a special event dedicated to ten years of its anime adaptation. Kadokawa has announced the franchise's first-ever film concert, scheduled for March 20, 2027, at Ota Civic Hall Aprico in Tokyo. Two performances will take place during the day, offering fans a retrospective experience built around key moments from the television series and the theatrical film.
Rather than a traditional screening, the event will combine sequences from the anime with music performed live by an ensemble. Soundtrack pieces and theme songs will accompany footage projected on a large screen, while members of the original voice cast will also take part in live performances. Each session is expected to last between 90 and 120 minutes, with some elements of the program changing between the afternoon show at 2:15 p.m. and the evening performance at 6 p.m.
Several familiar names from the series have already been confirmed. Aoi Yūki, the voice of Tanya, will appear alongside Yūsuke Kobayashi as Grantz, Daiki Hamano as Weiss and Haruka Tomatsu as Mary Sue. Composer Shuji Katayama of Team-MAX will also participate, together with musical group MYTH & ROID, whose music has become closely associated with the anime.
The anniversary concert will revisit material from the first television season, the 2019 movie and the second season, which began broadcasting in July 2026. Advance ticket lotteries have already opened, with an initial application period running until October 4 and another scheduled from October 16 to 25. Ticket prices range from 9,900 yen for standard A seating to 16,500 yen for an S-class ticket bundled with exclusive merchandise.
