The upcoming anime adaptation of OVERGEARED is stepping closer to its debut with a major wave of new information. A third promotional trailer and a fresh key visual have now been released, offering another look at the characters, world and action awaiting viewers. The series is officially scheduled to premiere on October 2, 2026, on TOKYO MX and BS11, with Crunchyroll also set to stream the anime internationally. Prime Video subscribers will get an early opportunity to discover the series, as streaming on the platform will begin on September 27.
The latest announcement also expands the anime's voice cast. Yuki Murata will portray Irene, while Yurika Hirayama joins the production as Isabel. They will appear alongside Tatsumaru Tachibana as Grid, Asami Seto as Yura, Saya Fukuzumi as Euphemina, Shuntaro Takayama as Huroi, Riho Sugiyama as Jishuka, Masaaki Mizunaka as Toban, Yasushi Bonkobara as Regas, Katsuya Fukunishi as Vantner, Kohei Amasaki as Pon and Shunichi Toki as Faker.
Behind the scenes, Ayako Kono is directing the anime at J.C.STAFF, with Kenta Ihara handling series composition and Ryosuke Tanigawa responsible for character design. Yoshikazu Iwanami serves as sound director, while Yoshiaki Fujisawa is composing the soundtrack. Music production is being handled by PONY CANYON. The opening theme, "SATISFY," will be performed by Re, while TAO will provide the ending theme, "Ray of Emotion."
Based on the popular fantasy series, OVERGEARED follows Youngwoo Shin, a struggling young man whose life changes through the hugely successful VR game Satisfy. Inside the virtual world, he plays as Grid, an unremarkable warrior who unexpectedly discovers a legendary blacksmith's tome. Using it comes at a massive cost by resetting his levels, but it also opens the door to extraordinary crafting abilities and powerful equipment. Forced to rebuild his character from the ground up, Grid begins a new journey where rare items, unlikely allies and his growing skills could completely redefine his place in Satisfy.
