The upcoming original anime film GROTESQQQUE has released a new trailer focusing on NOCTURNE: NUIT GROTESQUE, one of the three stories featured in the anthology. Directed under the creative vision of Atsushi Nishigori, the project is scheduled to open in Japanese theaters on November 6, 2026. The new footage offers a closer look at the darker atmosphere of the final segment while highlighting the film's distinctive visual direction. Ahead of the theatrical release, the insert song "TINY LUCK", performed by Kairi Yagi, also became available for streaming on October 7.

GROTESQQQUE is built around three independent stories, each featuring its own setting, characters and creative team. ÆLIENS follows an alien girl who joins forces with an employee of the Space Bureau as she searches for friends. The segment is directed by Atsushi Nishigori, with Masato Anno handling the main character designs and Satoko Nakamura serving as art director.

The second chapter, 4649GIRL, shifts toward a far more action-driven premise. Directed by Takahiro Miura, the story revolves around a chaotic battle royale in which a group of girls compete for victory in a game known as 4649GIRL. Tarou2 is responsible for the character designs, while Isao Hayashi oversees the action direction, giving this part of the anthology a noticeably different identity from the other two stories.

NOCTURNE: NUIT GROTESQUE closes the anthology with a darker survival story centered on three girls living in a devastated world after being infected through vampire bites. Atsushi Nishigori serves as both episode director and character designer for the segment, while Akane Iwakuma handles the art direction. By combining science fiction, high-energy combat and post-apocalyptic horror within a single feature, GROTESQQQUE is positioning itself as an experimental anime project built around three radically different creative concepts.
