TVING is expanding its September lineup with The Ordinary Jackpot, a new live action Korean series adapted from the popular web novel and webtoon of the same name. The drama officially launches on September 10, with its first two episodes becoming available exclusively on the Korean streaming platform. Actor Jun-hyuk Lee takes the lead role as Eun-tae Gong, an exhausted office worker whose professional life has gradually pushed him to his limits.
Eun-tae's routine takes an unexpected turn when he wins 1.8 billion won in the lottery. What should have been the perfect opportunity to leave his stressful career behind instead forces him to reconsider his priorities, his family relationships and the way he views the people around him. Rather than delivering a simple wish-fulfillment story, the series explores how sudden financial freedom can completely reshape an otherwise ordinary life.
Before his lottery victory, Eun-tae had already become the youngest team leader at Hongseong International, a major company specializing in luxury brand licensing. Despite the impressive title, his daily reality is dominated by workplace pressure, internal politics and constant expectations. His return to the office eventually places him alongside an unconventional group of colleagues as they attempt to overcome professional challenges together.
TVING will release two new episodes every Thursday at 6:00 p.m. KST. The series will also begin broadcasting on tvN from September 14 at 9:00 p.m. KST, with episodes airing on Mondays and Tuesdays. The original webtoon, illustrated by Ugukjo and written by S.Inha, is available in English through WEBTOON, while international viewers can also follow the live action adaptation on Rakuten Viki.
