Yukai Asada, the artist behind Battle Royale: Enforcers, is preparing to introduce readers to a very different kind of survival story. HERO'S Web has confirmed that the mangaka's new series, Zombie Dakedo Shitsumon Aru? (I'm a Zombie, Any Questions?), will begin publication on September 29, 2026.

The story takes place in a devastated Japan where a scientific breakthrough designed to extend human life has produced disastrous consequences. Instead of simply keeping people alive longer, the experimental drug continues to preserve their cells even after death, triggering a massive zombie outbreak and transforming the country into a post-apocalyptic nightmare.

At the center of the manga is Mina, a high school student trying to survive the collapse of society. Her journey leads her to Haru, a popular breakdancing video creator who has already been partially transformed into a zombie. Despite his unusual condition, the two join forces and attempt to escape through a country overwhelmed by the undead.

Asada is already well known among manga fans for his work on Battle Royale III: Enforcers, based on Koushun Takami's iconic Battle Royale franchise. The series launched in Bessatsu Young Champion in February 2022 and has since received five collected volumes. The English edition is published by Viz Media, with its fifth volume released in May 2026.
