LEGO is expanding its anime-inspired catalogue with a major new collaboration dedicated to Dragon Ball. Officially revealed on September 30, 2026, the LEGO Icons Dragon Ball Shenron & Goku set recreates one of the franchise’s most recognizable moments, bringing together the legendary dragon Shenron, the seven Dragon Balls and a young Son Goku riding his Kintoun cloud. The announcement follows a teaser shared by LEGO Japan on September 22 and confirms the company’s growing interest in properties with a strong global fanbase.

The set contains 1,764 pieces and includes a Kid Goku minifigure that can be repositioned around the model. LEGO designed the display to allow fans to recreate different scenes and interactions between Goku and Shenron, while also offering enough flexibility for collectors to customize the final presentation. The seven Dragon Balls are also included, reinforcing the set’s connection to one of the most iconic elements of Akira Toriyama’s universe.

The LEGO Icons Dragon Ball Shenron & Goku set will officially launch on November 4, 2026, with a retail price of US$179.99. Members of the LEGO Insiders program will receive early access beginning November 1. The release continues LEGO’s recent expansion into anime and entertainment franchises. The company previously introduced products inspired by the live action One Piece adaptation and KPop Demon Hunters, while LEGO and Netflix also collaborated on a two-part animated LEGO One Piece special released in 2026.

Dragon Ball remains one of the most influential Japanese franchises decades after its original publication. Created by Akira Toriyama, the manga was serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump between 1984 and 1995 and has since generated numerous anime series, films, games and spin-offs. The franchise is also preparing for the October 11, 2026 premiere of Dragon Ball Super: Beerus on Fuji TV and its affiliated channels, giving fans another major Dragon Ball release shortly before LEGO’s new collector set arrives.
