Bandai Namco Entertainment is expanding the Gundam universe with Gundam Blitz Order, a new mobile title designed around idle RPG and simulation mechanics. Announced on October 15, 2026, the project represents a first for the long-running franchise, introducing an idle-based progression system that allows players to develop their forces without requiring constant active play. The game will bring together machines from across Gundam's extensive history, giving fans the opportunity to create their own combat formations.
At the heart of Gundam Blitz Order is a collection and progression system built around Mobile Suits, Mobile Armors and warships. Players will recruit and strengthen different units, increase their overall combat capabilities and assemble teams according to the individual strengths and fighting characteristics of each machine. Strategy remains an important part of the experience, as creating an effective formation will require players to consider how their units complement one another on the battlefield.
The idle mechanics are intended to make progression more accessible, particularly for players who cannot spend long periods actively playing. Essential resources used to upgrade units can be gathered automatically, allowing teams to continue developing over time. Bandai Namco is positioning this approach as a way to reduce repetitive grinding while retaining the customization and tactical elements expected from a Gundam game.
Ahead of its full release, Gundam Blitz Order will undergo a network test scheduled from November 18 to November 24, 2026, with applications already open. Bandai Namco Entertainment has also launched an official English website and social media account for the project, confirming its intention to promote the game internationally. Additional details regarding its release date, supported territories and final content lineup have yet to be announced.
