Rockstar Games has released the official launch trailer for Grand Theft Auto VI, giving players another look at its ambitious return to Vice City ahead of the game's November 19 release. The new footage arrives little more than a month before launch and places the spotlight on the world of Leonida, the relationship between protagonists Jason and Lucia, and the cinematic presentation Rockstar is preparing for its long-awaited sequel. More than 13 years after GTA 5 first reached players, GTA 6 is now entering the final stretch before release on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.

Running for around 90 seconds, the trailer moves quickly between neon-lit streets, tropical coastlines, luxury vehicles, police pursuits and violent confrontations across Rockstar's fictional take on Florida. The story once again appears to revolve around Jason and Lucia, whose lives become increasingly dangerous after a robbery draws them into a much larger criminal conspiracy. New scenes also shed additional light on Jason's past, including problems during his military service and the difficulties he faced after leaving the armed forces. Their partnership appears set to become one of the main emotional and narrative pillars of the campaign.

Rockstar has also used the trailer to highlight GTA 6's technical presentation. According to the studio, the footage was captured directly from the game running on PlayStation 5, although it remains unclear whether the standard console or PS5 Pro was used. The footage showcases densely populated locations, detailed environments and elaborate lighting, offering another indication of the visual scale targeted by the project. Music also plays an important role, with "Flower in a Hurricane" by Justice featuring Tame Impala, SZA and King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard accompanying the trailer. Justice is additionally involved in composing the game's original score.

The new video does not reveal major previously unseen gameplay systems, with Rockstar instead focusing on atmosphere, characters and story. Players looking for a more extensive demonstration can refer to the roughly 27-minute gameplay presentation released in August. GTA 6 launches on November 19 for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, while Rockstar has yet to confirm a PC version or release date. Digital buyers will reportedly be able to preload the game from November 12, marking one of the final milestones before one of the industry's most anticipated releases finally arrives.
