The Vermilion Mask is already looking ahead to the next stage of its anime adaptation. The second part of the series has officially been scheduled for April 2027, when it will return to Yomiuri TV and NTV in Japan with new episodes airing every Saturday at 5:30 p.m. JST. Before that continuation arrives, the first part will begin broadcasting on October 10, 2026. Crunchyroll will stream the anime internationally as episodes are released in Japan, giving overseas viewers access to the series throughout its two-part run.

Based on the manga created by Dr.Poro and Nabana Naba, The Vermilion Mask follows Peru d'Arrest, a young apprentice dedicated to the craft of making masks. His life changes dramatically after a cursed mask takes control of him, resulting in the deaths of his master and companions. Burdened by what happened, Peru begins a dangerous journey to locate and destroy the legendary masks created by his master. His mission places him against increasingly powerful enemies while also bringing unexpected allies into his path.

The anime features an extensive voice cast led by Taihi Kimura as Peru d'Arrest, alongside Yūki Yamamoto, Kazuki Ura, Takanori Hoshino, Wataru Komada, Junya Enoki, Kazuhiko Inoue, Akio Ōtsuka, Kenji Nojima, Aoi Koga and several other performers. Yuya Tegoshi, vocalist of the rock band T.N.T, will also make a guest appearance as a voice actor in episode 12, which will serve as the finale of the first part. Production is being handled at 100Studio, with Tetsuaki Watanabe, known for his work on the first season of BLUELOCK, directing the project.

Daisuke Ōhigashi is overseeing the series composition, while Hisashi Higashijima is responsible for the character designs and Arisa Okehazama is composing the soundtrack. MAN WITH A MISSION performs the opening theme "Firestarter," with yutori providing the ending song "Koe." The original manga began serialization in Young King Ours in February 2021, and its tenth collected volume is scheduled to launch in Japan on November 30, 2026. English readers can access the manga digitally through emaqi.
