The magazine Weekly Shonen Jump has announced that the cult manga Assassination Classroom by Yūsei Matsui will receive an entirely new animated film. This feature film, titled Gekijōban Ansatsu Kyōshitsu Minna no Jikan (Assassination Classroom the Movie: Everybody's Time), will be released in Japan on March 20, 2026. It will mark ten years since the anime adaptation and promises to reignite fans' enthusiasm.

This project is more than a simple anniversary tribute. Author Yūsei Matsui explained that the film will include sections of the manga that had never been adapted for the screen due to a lack of time during the original production. The result is intended to be a complete work and a true continuation of the main story.

As a reminder, the manga was published between 2012 and 2016 in Weekly Shonen Jump. Its success led to two anime seasons, which aired in 2015 and 2016, followed by a first film in November 2016. The universe was also adapted into live-action films, with two movies released in 2015 and 2016, confirming the scale of the cultural phenomenon surrounding Assassination Classroom.
