Solo Leveling: Karma took the spotlight at Tokyo Game Show with two new trailers offering a much closer look at Netmarble’s upcoming adaptation. The first video focuses on gameplay, introducing the title’s core combat mechanics, progression systems and general gameplay loop. A separate cinematic trailer expands on the narrative, which explores a previously unseen period within the Solo Leveling timeline. This chapter of the story has yet to be covered by the anime adaptation, meaning the footage may contain significant spoilers for viewers who have not progressed further into the original webtoon.

Netmarble plans to release Solo Leveling: Karma on PC and mobile devices later this year. The project is also receiving substantial support on the animation side. A-1 Pictures, the studio behind the Solo Leveling anime, produced the game’s opening sequence. Yūya Horiuchi and Yoshihiro Kanno handled the storyboards and creative direction, while Tomoko Sudo worked as character designer. Shibito served as animation director, with Kanno additionally overseeing the action direction.

The Solo Leveling franchise has expanded considerably since the anime premiered in Japan in January 2024. Its second season followed in January 2025, while Solo Leveling -ReAwakening- previously brought a compilation of the first season and an early preview of Season 2 to theaters in Japan, the United States and Canada. The animated storyline is also set to continue with a new film titled Solo Leveling: Beyond the System, positioned after the events of the second season.

Originally based on Chugong’s novel series, Solo Leveling was adapted into a webtoon illustrated by the late DUBU of REDICE STUDIO. The webtoon ran from March 2018 until December 2021 and has since reached audiences worldwide through multiple digital and print releases. The franchise continues to expand beyond games and animation, with a Korean live action adaptation also in development.
