Elysium Game Studios has unveiled a new trailer for Neo Berlin 2087, accompanied by an important update regarding its release window. The cyberpunk RPG, playable in both first- and third-person perspectives, is now expected sometime in 2028 on PC via Steam, Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5. The game immerses players in a dystopian vision of Berlin where access to the most advanced technologies directly depends on social status, while the lands beyond the city walls are ravaged by malfunctioning machines and rival factions.

 

 

The adventure will follow Nolan, a high-ranking detective in the Neo Berlin Police Department tasked with finding Natalie, the police chief’s daughter, while investigating the sudden murder of the chief himself. As his investigation progresses, Nolan will uncover a conspiracy capable of threatening the entire city. His meeting with Natalie will also reveal deeper ties between their destinies. Among his special abilities, the detective will be able to relive the final moments of certain victims, reconstruct their memories, analyze their behavior and identify essential clues for solving the investigations.

Neo Berlin 2087 will offer several approaches to progressing through its environments. Players will be able to prioritize stealth, avoid enemies and eliminate threats discreetly, notably by taking advantage of the seamless transition between first- and third-person perspectives. A much more direct approach will also be possible, with close-quarters confrontations combining firearms and melee weapons. The combat system will be accompanied by an extensive selection of equipment and skills, allowing players to adapt Nolan to their chosen playstyle.

The decisions made throughout the adventure are also expected to play an important role in the narrative progression. Dialogues can be approached in different ways, while the player’s actions will influence the characters they encounter as well as the course of the story. Combining investigation, exploration, infiltration and combat, Neo Berlin 2087 aims to offer a strongly narrative-driven cyberpunk experience set in a futuristic Berlin divided between an elite protected behind new walls and a population struggling to survive in the outer zones.
