Nintendo, in partnership with studio The Pokémon Works, has finally specified the release window for Pokémon Champions, a new title centered on multiplayer Pokémon battles. The game will first arrive on Nintendo Switch during the month of April, before coming to smartphones (iOS and Android) later in 2026. A new trailer accompanies the announcement and emphasizes quick access to competitive battles starting this spring.

In terms of features, Pokémon Champions is also part of the Pokémon HOME ecosystem. Later this year, it will be possible to connect Pokémon Legends: Z-A to Pokémon HOME, then link Pokémon Champions to HOME in order to bring Pokémon appearing in both titles into it. The goal is to build your team and aim for the title of Champion, while enjoying bonuses linked to transfers.

Additional rewards are also planned, including Mega Stones such as Chesnaughtite, Delphoxite and Greninjite, obtained by transferring the corresponding Pokémon recovered in Pokémon Legends: Z-A to Pokémon HOME. Finally, Nintendo confirms its intention to spotlight Pokémon Champions on the esports stage: the game is expected at the Video Game Championships during the 2026 Pokémon World Championships in San Francisco.
