BLEACH: Thousand-Year Blood War is entering the final stretch of its story, and the latest promotional video sets the tone for the conclusion. The fourth and final cour, titled BLEACH: Thousand-Year Blood War - The Calamity, has received its last major trailer as only two episodes remain. Episode 9 is scheduled to air on October 19, 2026, while Episode 10 will bring the anime's long-running Thousand-Year Blood War storyline to an end on October 26. The series is available internationally through Hulu and Disney+.
To celebrate the approaching finale, a special event will take place at United Cinema Aqua City Odaiba in Tokyo on October 25, one day before the broadcast of the final episode. Attendees will be able to watch Episodes 1 through 9 of The Calamity on the big screen, followed by a discussion featuring several major figures behind the production. Guests will include Ichigo Kurosaki voice actor Masakazu Morita, Uryu Ishida voice actor Noriaki Sugiyama, BLEACH creator Tite Kubo, series director Hikaru Murata and producer Yoshihiko Tominaga.
The final part brings the conflict between the Soul Reapers and the Quincies closer to its decisive confrontation. Following the death of the Soul King, the stability of the Three Worlds is threatened as Yhwach continues to expand his power. The Royal Palace has fallen under the control of the Wandenreich and has been transformed into Wahr Welt, forcing the Thirteen Court Guard Squads and their remaining allies into a desperate battle against Yhwach's Royal Guard. Ichigo, meanwhile, discovers the truth behind Uryu's actions and once again prepares to fight alongside the people he trusts.
The production is led by Chief Series Director Tomohisa Taguchi and Series Director Hikaru Murata, with Masashi Kudo handling character designs. Yukio Hasegawa, Kiyoshi Komatsubara and Kumiko Takayanagi serve as chief animation directors, while Satoshi Sakai and Takashi Hashimoto oversee action and effects animation. Shiro Sagisu returns to compose the music, with PIERROT FILMS responsible for animation production. With Yhwach having pushed his abilities beyond even The Almighty, the final episodes are set to determine the fate of the Three Worlds and conclude one of BLEACH's most important conflicts.
