Bandai Namco Entertainment America has unveiled a new gameplay trailer for "Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown Deluxe Edition," highlighting the game's dynamic combat systems. The trailer showcases intense aerial battles, engaging mission campaigns and realistic real-time radio communications, offering a glimpse of the immersive experience players can expect. This latest edition will launch digitally for Nintendo Switch on July 11, with a simultaneous release in the United States, Europe and Asia.
The Deluxe Edition of "Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown" includes a wealth of content, starting with the base game and several downloadable content packs. Players will have access to three original aircraft sets and three special missions. Notable additions include the ADF-11F Raven, ADF-01 FALKEN and ADFX-01 Morgan aircraft, as well as missions such as "Unexpected Visitor," "Anchorhead Raid," and "Ten Million Relief Plan." The game also features a music player mode, the playable F-104C -Avril- and F-4E Phantom II aircraft, three aircraft skins and eight emblems from previous entries in the series.
The Switch version faithfully recreates the original game's high-speed action and supports multiplayer battles for two to eight players. Bandai Namco Entertainment originally released "Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown" in January 2019 for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, followed by a PC release via Steam in February 2019. The game, now available on Xbox Series X|S, was originally scheduled for release in 2017 but experienced delays. Fans of the series, which began with Namco's release in 1992, can look forward to additional DLC content after launch. Producer Kazutoki Kono confirmed in 2021 that a new entry in the Ace Combat series is currently in development.
