Amazon Games is preparing to expand its portfolio of free-to-play MMOs with the upcoming release of Throne and Liberty, developed by NCSoft, known for its work on Guild Wars and City of Heroes. Throne and Liberty is scheduled for a worldwide release on September 17, with an open beta available for PC and consoles from July 18 to 23. This new title promises to offer an immersive experience in the dynamic world of Solisium, featuring large-scale combat and exploration.

Throne and Liberty aims to engage players with its rich gameplay mechanics, welcoming thousands of players simultaneously into its open world. The game encourages strategic decision-making in PvP and PvE environments, where players must adapt to evolving battlefields influenced by the weather, time of day and other players. The main objective is to defeat the formidable Kazar and claim the throne while fending off rival guilds, ensuring that there is no single path to victory.

The open beta in July offers an early look at the game, allowing players in Europe, North and South America, Australia, New Zealand and Japan to download the client on Steam, Xbox Series X/S or PlayStation 5. This beta phase is not just a preview, but also an opportunity for the community to provide feedback and help shape the game's future. After the beta, the full game will launch in September, with cross-play support across all platforms and regions, marking a significant addition to Amazon's lineup of games.
