A new Kaiju No. 8 project was unveiled on Saturday, June 15, with an official trailer, coinciding with the broadcast of the anime's 10th episode. The trailer revealed that Akatsuki Games is developing a new game, provisionally titled Kaiju No. 8 THE GAME. The game will be available on smartphones and PC via Apple's App Store, Google Play, and Steam.

The Kaiju No. 8 anime debuted on TV Tokyo on April 13 and is available to stream on Crunchyroll with English subtitles and an English dub. In addition, it is being simulcast worldwide on X (formerly Twitter) in sync with its broadcast in Japan. The anime is directed by Shigeyuki Miya, with Ichiro Okouchi handling series composition and the screenplay, Tetsuya Nishio serving as character designer and chief animation director, Mahiro Maeda handling monster design, and Shinji Kimura serving as art director. The music is composed by Yuta Bando, with animation production by Production I.G and kaiju designs by Studio Khara.

The anime's theme songs are performed by international artists. British singer YUNGBLUD performs the opening theme, "Abyss," while American pop rock band OneRepublic performs the ending theme, "Nobody." Viz Media has licensed the manga for English-speaking readers, publishing the chapters both digitally and physically. Shueisha publishes the manga on its MANGA Plus service under the title Monster #8. The story follows a man who, after becoming a monster, seeks to fulfill his childhood dreams. The manga, created by Matsumoto, has been ongoing since its launch on Shueisha's Shonen Jump+ website in July 2020.
