Xbox Games Showcase 2026: Xbox’s Return?

The Xbox Games Showcase 2026, followed by the Gears of War: E-Day Direct, concluded with a packed and fast-paced edition, once again confirming Microsoft’s ambition to cover the entire video game spectrum. From more modest productions designed for relaxation to generation-defining blockbusters, the conference delivered a succession of announcements, trailers and dedicated segments. A notable feature this year was that the event also served as an anniversary showcase, with Xbox celebrating 25 years, in a presentation that emphasized the brand’s legacy and its catalog of studios.

As expected, Xbox Game Studios, Bethesda Softworks, Activision and several partners took center stage, with a deliberately eclectic selection. The previously anticipated headliners were indeed present, notably Fable, Gears of War: E-Day and DMZ mode in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4. But the Showcase’s appeal was not limited to these confirmations: the presentation also sought to maintain a steady pace of reveals to avoid a “shopping list” effect and give the show real momentum, alternating between gameplay, cinematics and speaker appearances.

If you missed the livestream, there is no need to worry: the essentials are precisely summarized in the compilation of the 29 announcements unveiled during the conference:
