As for international distribution, the strategy is clear: outside Japan, China, South Korea, Russia and Belarus, the anime will be offered worldwide exclusively on Crunchyroll via streaming during the year. Production is being handled by Qzil.la, while direction has been entrusted to Kenichi Kutsuna.

The cast notably includes Daisuke Namikawa (Wolf), Miyuki Satou (Kuro / Divine Heir), Kenjiro Tsuda (Genichiro Ashina), as well as Shizuka Ito (Emma) and Takaya Hashi (Owl), among others. The staff also includes Takuya Satou on the screenplay, Takahiro Kishida on character design, and a strong technical team covering art direction, compositing, editing, sound and music, bringing to life action scenes that promise to be demanding.

As a reminder, SEKIRO: SHADOWS DIE TWICE was released in March 2019 on PS4, PC and Xbox One, and has since surpassed 10 million copies sold worldwide. The story of SEKIRO: NO DEFEAT takes us back to the Sengoku period, at the heart of Ashina: as an internal threat takes shape and Genichiro seeks forbidden powers to defend his land, hope centers on the Divine Heir and his silent protector, the shinobi known as Sekiro, in a quest to restore balance to a country on the brink of chaos.
