The highly anticipated film Haikyu!! vs. The Little Giant is officially in production! Following the success of Haikyu!! The Dumpster Battle, this new anime adaptation takes us to the heart of the story with the quarterfinals of the Spring Tournament, pitting Karasuno against Kamomedai. Animation will once again be handled by Production I.G, with Susumu Mitsunaka returning to direct and write the screenplay. This feature film will spotlight the decisive clash between Shoyo Hinata and Korai Hoshiumi, a talented player who shares the same nickname as the legendary Little Giant, Hinata’s longtime idol.

This match is a pivotal moment in the original story, marking a major evolution for Hinata and his team. After progressing through numerous challenges, Karasuno faces Kamomedai, a formidable team led by Hoshiumi, a player of modest stature but exceptional talent. This confrontation represents far more than a simple match: it is a duel between two athletes who defied volleyball’s physical norms and proved that height is not everything. The opposition between Hinata and Hoshiumi promises exceptional intensity, as Karasuno fights to continue its rise toward glory.

The Haikyu!! universe, inspired by Haruichi Furudate’s hit manga published in Weekly Shonen Jump, has captivated fans for years. This dynamic sports series follows the journey of Shoyo Hinata, a young volleyball enthusiast inspired by the example of a short player who became a legend. Despite a difficult start, Hinata never stops improving and overcoming obstacles, particularly through his encounters with Tobio Kageyama, a rival who becomes his teammate. With its four anime seasons streamed by Crunchyroll, Haikyu!! continues to inspire and bring together a loyal fan community eager to discover this new epic showdown.
